Welcome to the new look web site for Dartfield Horse Museum and Irish Heritage Centre.

This year we have added some wonderful new exhibits that we are sure that all of our visitors will love.

We have a fabulous selection of veteran Model T Ford Cars, which date back to the 1900’s. This is the only exhibition of these cars anywhere in Ireland, so we feel very privileged to be able to show them to everyone who visits Dartfield. Now we have horses and horsepower together all under one roof. In addition to the cars we have extended the museum exhibits to show what life was like in rural Ireland during the 18 and 1900’s. Life was very different then – so come and have a look at how your Grandparents lived

Last year we started to collect the Irish dog breeds. Ireland has its own special, unique dog breeds from the very large Irish Wolfhound to the smaller Terriers. Some of the breeds are rare and their bloodlines need to be preserved. There is no where in Ireland where all of these dogs can be seen together. At the moment we have an Irish Wolfhound, Red Setter and a Wheaten Terrier living at the museum. These graceful and friendly dogs love to have lots of visitors around to pet them, so please pay them a visit soon.
